Life often leads us down paths we wouldn’t choose roads marked by trials, delays, or pain. But God’sWord reminds us His ways are higher than ours, and His purposes are always good. This morning, we’ll look at Abraham, Stephen, and Paul, faithful servants whose lives were far from easy, yet glorified God. Their lives remind us to keep our eyes on the prize: not comfort, but His glory. When life doesn’t make sense, trust the One who sees the whole picture.

Happy Mother’s Day! Today we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, mother figures, surrogate moms, bonus grandmas and those who have quietly influenced us to become both who we are and who we are still becoming. In the New Testament book 2 Timothy, Paul begins by commending the faith of his protégé Timothy with a nod to those who helped shape him (his mother and grandmother). In biblical terms, their inclusion is unusual, yet it draws our attention to an important and oft overlooked truth. We ought to be thankful for the influence of others but also allow ourselves to be a blessing to them.
