“To Ascribe Value”
Matthew 22:36-38
Life is precious. We say that with our words but often our actions betray our beliefs. How can we attest to and enhance the worth of those around us? How can we ascribe to God his worth? One of the most basic ways of ascribing value is to listen/ pay attention to one another. Our world is so cha- otic, our minds are often so full, the emotional environment we live in is often so loud that it can be difficult at times to really listen. Jesus was fond of saying “whoever has ears, let them hear” (Matt. 11:15, 13:9 & 13:43). This is a very profound invitation.

A proper vision of ourselves is critical to a proper vision of God, others and the creation we live in. How precious are we and for what purpose?
