“Beginning the Gratitude Challenge” Luke 17:11-19
We launch a new initiative; to become more aware of our blessings and to grow in the grace of being Thankful. The Bible highlights a number of ways that a thankful heart leads to a better life (we’ll explore some of these between now and Thanksgiving). So today we begin a new path through gratitude to goodness; how grateful are we, how can we be more aware of God’s goodness, can we develop new habits too?
I accept the 21 day gratitude challenge.

We wrap up our look at the book of Habakkuk and the struggle of faith in the face of the chaos. The circumstances of life we would like to control. The timing of God we would like to set. The ways of God we would want to understand. While these desires are beyond our grasp, the love of God is still the foundation for our enduring faith.

The dialogue in Habakkuk starts with the prophets crying out to God, but continues with God’s response to him. Most of us find it easy to talk, more difficult to listen, especially when it comes to prayer. If prayer is a dialogue, how can we listen better?

This oft overlooked book is about a man (a prophet) who struggled with his faith in the face of the chaos that filled the world around him.
