“Gospel of Mark: Jesus, the Unexpected‐part 2”
More than a Healer
Mark 2:1‐12
A New Year opens, we make a new start. We open the year with a fresh look at the Gospel of Mark. Here we will discover both the person of Jesus and his designs for us. In Chapter 2 we see the depiction of his ministry is full of surprises. His ability to heal was certainly an attraction but he was interested in more. Perhaps our prayers for God to intervene in our problems are also a door through which He will bring deeper change (and hope) for us.

Whatever your need is, God is bigger! Whatever your weakness is, God is stronger! This story of Gideon will teach us how to break free from the mini‐me syndrome.

We must learn to patiently trust God, know that God is in control, and understand that God's timing is best. Let's look at the New Year with great hope as we wait on God.

Question Everything (part 5) “Does My Life Have a Purpose?” Psalm 57
Today we continue through our series on the book of Psalms focused on the deep questions that life often poses ("Question Everything”). In the book of Psalms (an ancient collection of songs/prayers) we will find Biblical answers for many such questions. We often wonder if our life matter, especially when things aren’t going our way. David writes this Psalm (57) when things are not going well for him (while hiding in a cave) yet reveals to us the path to purpose.
